Hospital / Possible RP Relationship?

Hi all!
I was in the kitchen making dinner when i saw the dog barking under the tree, looking up at something. When I went outside, I saw a young cat caught in the tree, hanging by its collar, like a noose. I ran inside, got a towel, and pulled him/her out. It was screaming, and popped out, biting my hands really hard. After leaping out and running away (and my dog chasing it off) I cleaned off the GUSHING blood and went to bed.
Jump: 2 weeks in hospital and 3 surgeries later.
One bite turned into a MASSIVE flexor sheath tendon infection which required three surgeries and serious antibiotics/pain killers. What a nightmare!

I've been inactive for almost 8 months -sigh- T____T
I never thought life would catch up with me like it has, but I definitely don't feel like a child anymore. I've moved away from home, have a full time zookeeping job, am totally independent of my parents, have loans, and bills, a smoking hott boyfriend (lmao), and am doing custom pet portraits (coloured pencil, acrylic, charcoal) for extra cash on the side. I'm seriously thinking about my future, and even family someday.
This must be what it feels like to be an adult... I must be going through like a quarter life crisis or something.
